The dynamic response of these captures is the closest to an actual amp that we have personally tried. The depth and warmth sit well in nearly any mix, and it has no problem filling the room! This amp delivers unmatched vintage tones that us worship guitarists can’t get enough of. This particular amp is truly one of a kind. Most of the early Blackface Bassman's were AB-165 circuits but because of the craze created by none other than Sir Paul McCartney for bringing Bassmans to the United States, Fender had to use everything they had in stock to keep up with the demand. Fender would sometimes blend old parts from Blonde Bassmans and insert a 6G6-B circuit into a Blackface housing. Thus giving birth to this legend. Experience the magic of the famed 6G6-B circuit, from smooth overdrive to pristine cleans.
The biggest opportunity that the Quad Cortex has is the FX. However, we have found the right combination of reverbs blended in stereo to give us the best ambient reverbs that the Quad Cortex can offer to date. This preset features cleans, multiple gain stages, multiple leads with delays set up pre and post-amp, and two different swells. Whether you are on EG1 or EG2, this preset will fit almost every situation.
